Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a fun creative guru to become part of our fast paced, high output design team. You’ll be responsible for designing collateral for the H&J Smith Department Store brand and subsidiaries including our women’s fashion boutiques and outdoor sports stores.
Working in our marketing team at our Invercargill store, this creative role will see you produce a variety of creative material to suit a range of different platforms including print and digital.
Ideally, you’ll have the following;
A formal qualification in graphic design or demonstrated relevant experience and be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Premiere Pro)
The ability to work to a design brief and be open to accepting feedback on your work
Have experience and skill in preparing files for press and digital platforms
Have an understanding of and experience working with social media channels
Have experience in DSLR photography
Have an understanding of brand management, marketing and strategy
Be highly motivated with great attention to detail
Have excellent communication and time management skills
The ability to output artwork across a variety of platforms in a timely manner
Previous experience in a retail marketing environment is advantageous but not essential
