About the Role
As a Graduate Engineer , you will be responsible for providing engineering support across a variety of functions, including asset engineering, network planning, and performance analysis. This is a multifaceted role that will give you a solid grounding in power distribution engineering and the opportunity to manage small, low-risk network projects from start to finish.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the analysis of asset condition and maintenance data, contributing to asset management decisions.
Supporting the preparation of work scopes and designs for network reinforcement and asset replacement projects.
Conducting load flow simulations and supporting network modelling.
Contributing to network performance analysis and troubleshooting power quality issues.
Helping to develop and maintain technical standards and specifications for distribution network design and maintenance.
Managing and delivering small projects, using business project management processes.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a graduate with:
1-2 years of relevant experience in power systems or related fields. However, exceptional graduates with strong academic results and proven internship experience will also be considered.
A solid theoretical understanding and interest in power distribution engineering, network planning, and asset management, gained through a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (ideally power systems or similar).
A proactive, problem-solving attitude, with a keen desire to learn and contribute to projects.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks and projects.
