Stake Glass Ltd is an independent, 100% locally owned and operated glass supplier and glass processor located in modern premises in Sockburn. We provide clients with the highest quality, innovative glass solutions for commercial and residential applications.Position Overview: As a Glass Processing Operator, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and finishing of glass products. You will work with various glass types and processes, ensuring precision and quality in every product we deliver.We are looking for two Operators, one for our Morning shift (5am – 1:30pm M to F) and one for our Afternoon shift (1pm – 9:30pm M to F). If you have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for craftsmanship, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Operate glass processing machinery, including cutting, polishing, and tempering equipment.Follow technical specifications and blueprints to fabricate glass products accurately.Understand customer drawings and apply measurements to glass.Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with company standards.Perform routine operator maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications and Experience:NCEA Level 2 or equivalent; technical or vocational training in glass processing is a plus.Previous experience in glass processing or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.NCEA Level 2 or equivalent math skills including understanding of measurements.Good literacy as you need to follow written instructions and order forms.Team player with good communication skills.Physically fit as role involves manual handling.What We Offer:Competitive wages.Great team culture including monthly BBQs, socialising and team bonding.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.A supportive and inclusive work environment.Employee training programs focused on safety and skill enhancement.How to Apply:If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in the glass manufacturing industry, please submit your CV and cover letter via SEEK.We are a drug-free workplace and you will need to pass a drug test to work with us.Join us at Stake Glass Ltd and help shape the future of glass processing!
