The Role As a GIS Analyst, you'll be responsible for analysing spatial data, creating maps and reports, and managing our GIS databases. Your role will support business decision-making and contribute to solving key challenges in the maintenance and operation of our electricity network.
Key Responsibilities: Spatial Data Management: Ensure accurate and effective data capture, storage, and updates in the GIS.
Mapping & Analysis: Produce high-quality cartographic outputs and analyse spatial data to inform decisions.
Asset Information: Collaborate with engineers to ensure all asset data is up to date, numbering new assets according to TLC policy.
Training & Support: Provide coaching and support to colleagues on GIS applications and maintain training materials.
Customer Service: Respond to queries from external contractors, providing maps and data as required.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Spatial Science, Geographic Information Systems, or equivalent. A Postgraduate GIS qualification is desirable.
Experience: 3-5 years in spatial analysis, cartographic mapping, and data management. Familiarity with ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Enterprise products is preferred.
Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive, positive attitude.
