About the opportunity Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working alongside a cohesive, engaged and driven Senior Leadership Team the GM – ICT takes overall accountability for the performance of the ICT function, contributing to the achievement of the organisation strategy. In doing this the GM – ICT will: Develop and implement annual ICT business plans aligned with organisational goals, fostering innovation and technology adoption. Define and enforce architectural standards, frameworks, and governance processes, promoting awareness and mitigating risks associated with IT projects. Oversee IT security and compliance for current and future digital functions, ensuring data privacy and certifying backup and disaster recovery procedures. Monitor and recommend improvements for current tools and infrastructure, providing advice on technology advances and facilitating efficient Help Desk service. Oversee acquisition and maintenance of major information systems, managing budgets, maintaining vendor relationships, and evaluating ownership models. Ensure a strong foundation in processes and data management, utilising Business Intelligence for informed decision-making and tracking/reporting contact points for business improvement. About you An experienced senior leader, as the GM – ICT you are an accomplished technology leader with a robust background in shaping and executing strategic ICT initiatives. Your ability to partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team is paramount. With a knack for aligning ICT strategies with overall organisational objectives, you are proactive in identifying and mitigating risk. You bring substantial experience in Enterprise Architecture, your experience spans strategy and planning, standards enforcement, governance, risk management, and integration with IT projects. Additionally, you have a proven track record in ensuring the security and compliance of information systems, with oversight of cybersecurity initiatives and the evaluation of system security and backup procedures. Your proficiency extends to technology tools and operational support, where you maintain keen awareness of technological advancements, advise on relevance to business objectives and oversee the updating and upgrading of existing capabilities. Your leadership style is characterised by excellent financial acumen, strong stakeholder management, people leadership and effective communication and influencing skills.
