Funeral Director Assistant

Position: Assistant Funeral Director
Location: Haven Falls - Poutama Tangihanga
Employment Type: Full time
Responsibilities of this role will include the following:
Transportation of tupapaku, from Mortuary, Hospitals and Coroners etc.
Casket preparation
Vehicle / Fleet maintenance and coordination, liaising with external suppliers
Preparation of media material, tributes, presentations and service booklets
General and varied awhi of team members
General maintenance of whare and liaising with external suppliers
Stock takes, orders and purchasing
General cleaning, set up, and pack down as required on-site
Potential candidates must have the following:
Full driver's license or pending transition from restricted
High level of professionalism and personal presentation
Reasonable level of competency with Microsoft Office, Email, Word and Excel
Ability to travel between Haven Falls sites as required
Excellent time management and communication skills
Working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility would be required due to the nature of our mahi. The position will also be rostered alternate weekends on-call.
This role would suit entry-level candidates pending license requirements and level of professionalism can be met.
