We operate by land, sea, and air, manage over 860,000 emergency calls a year, and are always actively preventing crime and crashes.About the Role: The role of the Frontline Station Support Officer (FSSO) is to provide customer service for our Front Counter based at the Westport Police Station. Every day you will be dealing with challenging situations which will need to be approached with professionalism, respect, empathy, and in a positive manner. You will be welcoming customers into the station and ensuring their enquiries are understood and handled appropriately.Responsibilities:Provide operational and administrative support to Police.Deliver front counter customer service.Perform data entry and manage files.Utilize Police systems effectively.Maintain attention to detail and a can-do attitude.Key Accountabilities:The ability to deal with challenging individuals in a customer service environment.A sound knowledge of computer applications, particularly NIA and Microsoft suites.Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work hard in a team environment.Prioritize workflow and manage time effectively to complete multiple files and meet deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.The ability to adapt to and learn new processes and systems.What You'll Bring: While we are looking for skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others.
