College Catering is a large food service operation producing over 8500 meals per day to eleven University Colleges.
Te Rangihiroa College is Otago's newest and most modern residential College. It offers a full meal service for its 450 students and outside of semester it is a busy and vibrant conference and events location.
The role/Te mahi
We are seeking three Front of House Supervisors to work in our busy Te Rangihiroa College food service team.
You will be a hospitality professional with a varied background in food service, strong communication, and team-building skills.
These positions are responsible for the front of house service of college meals. Other duties include cleaning and some food preparation.
We are looking for candidates with:
A high level of enthusiasm and customer service.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
Experience in the supervision of service staff.
Ability to develop and maintain effective networks and key relationships.
You will be committed to continuous improvement and always able to organise and prioritise an unpredictable working day.
These roles are permanent full-time, semester time only positions (38 weeks a year, February to November), located in Dunedin. Hours of work are 40 hours per week, as per roster. The rosters will include one weekend day during semester time.
Positions will commence in January 2025.
The University offers catering staff summer maintenance work as a Trades Assistant to those staff seeking employment outside of the academic year (November to February).
The appointment range is $25.17 to $26.17 per hour, top of range $26.67 per hour.
While this position will commence in the Te Rangihiroa College, if there is a need, this position may be relocated to another University College on the Dunedin campus.
