Support the CFO in key strategic initiatives
Our client is an industry leader, who due to a period of sustained growth, is seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to join their executive leadership team. Based in the Christchurch CBD, this pivotal role combines strategic vision with operational excellence, driving financial and business outcomes in alignment with the company's long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
· Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to provide strategic financial insights.
· Supervise and mentor the finance team.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial professional with a proven history of steering organisations through periods of growth and change. They will possess a strong combination of strategic vision and practical expertise, enabling them to effectively manage complex financial challenges while leading and motivating high-performing teams.
Skills and experience:
· New Zealand CA qualified or equivalent
· Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior financial management role
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks
· Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and people management skills
