Full-time position based in Mangawhai or Dargaville, with flexibility to work remotely on a hybrid basis.
About the opportunity
As a key member of our Roading team, you'll support the Council's roading function through precise financial administration, reporting, analysis, and data management. Your role will be crucial in providing insights that drive the development of roading projects and initiatives. You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes and systems, making a significant impact on the success of our projects and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing and managing roading data by monitoring performance, ensuring compliance, and contributing to regulatory reporting and policy development.
Managing and updating processes for roading data, ensuring data accuracy, supporting claim administration and processing, and assisting with documentation and data queries.
Supporting financial administration by preparing performance reports, maintaining records, tracking budgets, processing invoices, and processing timesheets.
Improving reporting processes, forecasting cash flows, and performing regular system audits.
Optimising the use of existing data tools and identifying opportunities to enhance reporting for business needs.
About you
We're seeking someone who is enthusiastic about financial administration, data analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes are essential.
In addition, you will have:
At least five years of experience in financial administration, with a focus on contracts, records systems, and procurement.
Proven expertise in managing and analysing financial data and generating detailed reports.
Experience in process mapping, with experience using ProMapp considered a plus.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Sharepoint.
The ability to swiftly adapt to new systems.
