Tupu Tonu is an independent, Crown-owned company set up to build a portfolio of high-quality commercial assets which can be offered by the Crown in historical Tiriti o Waitangi negotiations with nga hapu o Ngapuhi.
The Finance Manager is a permanent, full-time role.
The Finance Manager oversees and provides end-to-end finance services for Tupu Tonu.
Supported by the Operations team, and working alongside the Investment and Government/Engagement teams, the Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality, robust finance functions are in place as appropriate for a public sector entity.
Qualifications & Experience CA or CPA qualification required.
Previous experience in a commercial or investment organization would be desirable given the nature of our operations.
Experience of preparation of monthly Board reports, and preferably experience of presenting at Board meetings.
Preferably experience working within public sector organisations, and with some exposure to government legislative frameworks.
Audit and year-end reporting experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead finance functions.
Experienced Finance Manager who can work collaboratively across teams, including supervision of others.
Tasks & Responsibilities Work collaboratively across the team to deliver high quality financial and corporate systems and processes.
Ownership of finance systems, processes and processes to ensure integrity of our financial systems and results, including compliance, tax, and payroll.
Delivery of high quality, timely financial reporting and business information to support good decision making across the business.
Development of the annual operating, capital, and investment budgets and ensuring reporting against budgets and key performance measures is completed monthly and published quarterly.
Deliver annual accounts and reporting to comply with legislative requirements and ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
Support effective corporate services functions and pro-active risk management.
Support the Investment Team on finance-related matters connected with investment generation and asset management as required.
