Founded in NZ and now part of a global group, our client provides technology that supports the retail sector.A publicly listed parent in the US, our client continues to grow and expand through product innovation and acquisition across NZ & Australia.The head office for NZ is based in Mt Wellington, with parking on-site.This role is office-based, 5 days per week.Newly created role to support additional support and management for the Finance team.The role...Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing a team of three Assistant Accountants and partnering closely with Commercial Finance.You will take responsibility for:Month end & year-end account preparation.Preparation of budgets and quarterly cashflow forecasting.Variance analysis & commentary to support management team discussions and decisions.Overseeing AP, AR, reconciliation, and day-to-day problem solving and guidance for Accounting support.Tax, audit and compliance reporting (IFRS) requirements.Continuous improvement and ongoing systems improvement projects that will streamline processes for the team.Your experience...You will ideally be CA/CPA/ACCA qualified and have working experience with IFRS reporting requirements.You will need to be someone who enjoys leading and supporting others.You love solving problems in this fast-paced, high-transaction environment where each day can be quite different.Experience and confidence with systems & technology will be key, as the business has been acquired and also has acquired, providing plenty of opportunity to better integrate tools, reports and automate processes.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy and complex accounting environment, who wants to develop their people leadership skills and grow their career with the business.If you are interested, please APPLY NOW or call Vanesha Din on 021569499 if you have questions that are not covered above.This role is only open to those with current NZ Work Rights.
