Job Category: Banking and Financial Services Finance Business Partner Permanent Full–Time (37.5 hours per week). The Finance Business Partner will report to the Strategic Finance Manager and will assist in delivering a high level of financial and commercial support to the organisation. From strategic partnering, analysis, management accounting, carbon accounting, through to influencing change this role has it all.
Being part of the Financial Performance Team you will liaise closely with the business to add value and contribute during an exciting time as we move towards our strategic goals/goals for 2030. You will be expected to provide insightful and both technical and non-technical financial information to respective portfolio leadership teams.
In this role, you will: Actively influence day-to-day decisions, providing up-to-date analysis and advice, and have an understanding of operational impacts. Be responsible for the financial support, monitoring, reporting, and reviewing management accounts for reasonableness. Assist in collating Portfolio and Organisational reports for monthly presentations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and National Board. Conduct proactive financial analysis to support diverse user needs, including portfolio managers and cross-departmental projects. Quantify project benefits, providing financial modelling for business cases, including capital expenditure. Conduct post-audits on projects to assess achieved benefits and identify lessons learned. Collaborate with the Systems Accountant to design reports to meet business needs. Partner with portfolios to ensure accuracy and timeliness in the budgeting and forecasting process, adopting a challenger posture, where required. To be successful, you will have: Strong communication skills to collaborate with managers in providing financial support and advice. The ability to earn trust through behaving in a professional manner and using discretion. An ability to analyse information and use logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Interest in continuous improvement and challenging the status quo. A good understanding of accounting fundamentals and standards. At least 3 years' experience post qualifying. Good level of computer skills e.g., Excel. Attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.
