Role Overview:
We are seeking a Fermentation Biologist to join our dynamic team. This newly created role will oversee all aspects of microbial fermentation, focusing on bacterial and fungal research, growth kinetics and optimisation. You will manage bioreactor operations, solid-state fermentation, and research projects to drive product development and innovation at Cellora.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead ground-breaking bacterial and fungal research, including determination of microbial growth kinetics and optimisation for innovative fermentation production methodologies.
Manage bioreactor operations and solid-state fermentation including development of standardized processes and quality assurance.
Develop, nurture and grow partnerships with our external partners to ensure Cellora continuously improves and incorporates leading edge technologies and practices into our R&D.
Manage key R&D projects with a firm grip on focus and speed to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery and commercialisation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or PhD in Microbiology or Microbial Fermentation Specialty.
5+ years experience in microbiology and fermentation technology, including bioreactor operations.
A deep understanding of microbial growth kinetics and optimisation towards the development of commercial products.
Excellent project management, data analysis, and scientific communication skills.
