Farm Assistant - Near Methven

Then we would like to hear from you!We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Fixed Term Farm Assistant to join our team from early July 2020 to Mid January 2021. Experience is a bonus but not a requirement, as we enjoy developing people and are willing to put the time into training.We are looking for someone who has:- good work ethic- great attitude- passion for dairying or willingness to give it a go- team player mentality- trustworthiness- pride in their work and workplaceWe milk 700 cows on our farm, with a team of four people, and aim to operate at best practice in all aspects of the farm. The roster will equate to 3 days off per fortnight. During calving (mid July-mid Sep), this is normally 6 on 1 off, 5 on 2 off or similar, with 11 on 3 off once calving is finished. Accomodation will be either be a single quarters, a shared house with one of our other team members. An hourly rate will be paid, and a minimum of 70 hours a fortnight will be guaranteed.The farm is located at Lauriston, 15 minutes from Ashburton, and 10 minutes from Methven.If this opportunity is of interest to you, please apply with your cover letter, and CV with at least 2 appropriate references including your current or most recent employer.
