Maintenance & Handyperson Services (Trades & Services)
If you are looking for a part-time role (20 hours per week), where flexibility is important, then you could be the person to step into this role. This role will see you bring your experienced skillset to ensure the Northern Rescue Helicopter base in Whangarei runs smoothly, and the operational teams are enabled to deliver clinical services effectively. Your mahi will make a difference to the work our frontline people do.
You will be working with a group of skilled people where expertise is respected and part of the team culture.
Your primary focus in the role will be to:
Monitor the physical condition of the base and remediate unsafe conditions
Maintain non-aircraft equipment, including tugs, aircraft trolleys, and mobile tankers
Liaise with relevant suppliers for company-based leased vehicles to ensure compliance and maintenance
Liaise with contractors to ensure facility maintenance is current.
Liaise with Maintenance Controller for maintenance control equipment for servicing of equipment related to airworthiness.
Maintain fire safety standards
Here's what you need:
Experience in a similar role
Understanding of aviation and operations
Proven track record of improving operations performance
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Highly developed time management skills
Strong ability to relate, influence and negotiate
Ability to manage cost and capital budgets
Ability to work autonomously, deal with change and ambiguity
Qualification in operations or business
Qualification in mechanics or engineering
HT Licence
Dangerous Goods (Drivers License D endorsement)
Elevated Work Platform trained
