Join us as an Excavator Operator in WhanganuiWe currently require an experienced excavator/plant operator with a strong work ethic to assist with a variety of tasks and responsibilities within our Civil Construction Department, including Watertable work, Drainage work, Minor earthworks and excavating.
In addition to the above you will: Monitor plant maintenance including log books and servicingEnsure machinery checks (eg: tyres, oil and grease, plant pre start) are completed and necessary maintenance completed before machinery is operated.Take part in pre-start meetings – understand the hazards and the plan to control them, always speak up if not sure Good Work equals Good BenefitsMedical insurance for you and your whanau.Life insurance from day one.KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones up to 7%.Fuel discount card.Parental leave top-up payment with additional return to work support.Family scholarships.

We're looking for someone with:Full class 2 licenceCurrent W,T,R endorsements Experience in Civil maintenance.Machine experience, including excavator experienceCreating, Connecting and caring for the community Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
