This is where you come in! The Test Automation Lead is a senior technical role responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of end-to-end and repeatable test frameworks. This role is pivotal in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of testing practices across product engineering teams. The Test Automation Lead will also play a key role in upskilling and coaching engineers throughout the organization to maintain and enhance the testing tools and processes in place.

Responsibilities: Testing Framework Development: Lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and solutions for pragmatic and effective end-to-end testing.
Continuously evaluate and incorporate new testing tools and methodologies to enhance the testing infrastructure.
Automated Testing Strategy and Execution: Develop and oversee the implementation of best practices for automated testing across multiple platforms and environments.
Collaborate with product engineering teams to integrate automated tests seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
Ensure the execution of automated tests is optimized for speed and reliability.
Team Collaboration and Support: Work closely with engineering teams alongside quality engineers to understand their testing needs and provide expert guidance on automated testing strategies.
Support product teams in identifying, isolating, and resolving issues discovered during automated testing.
Training and Mentorship: Develop training materials and conduct workshops to upskill engineers in automated testing techniques.
Mentor and coach team members on maintaining and developing the testing frameworks and tools.
Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead quality assurance initiatives and advocate for high standards in code quality and testing across the organization.
Report on testing outcomes and metrics to senior management to inform on the quality aspects of the product releases.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in automated testing.
Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies and advocate for the adoption of practices that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
Skills and experience needed to be successful: 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automated testing.
Strong experience and knowledge of agile team practices and delivery.
Expertise in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc.
Experience with programming languages such as .NET, JavaScript, etc.
Experience working with web and mobile product engineering teams.
Proven track record of developing scalable and efficient automated test infrastructures.
Strong leadership skills and experience in training and mentoring others. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to haves: Experience with Oracle DBs and Platforms.
Experience with .NET application stacks.
Experience with pipeline development.
Experience with Playwright JavaScript testing.
