Ensures that there are robust monitoring, reviewing and reporting systems in place in order to demonstrate compliance with consent conditions. Completes relevant projects within the Environmental area (or in conjunction with other departments as required) in an accurate and timely manner that ensures compliance with statutory acts, regulations, consent conditions and company environmental standards.The Environmental Advisor is to provide environmental, site and consent knowledge to relevant projects either by management, coordination, or participation in projects.QualificationsCoordinate a baseline environmental monitoring programme to collect groundwater level, groundwater quality, surface water quality, and stream flow data.Oversee the installation and maintenance of environmental monitoring instrumentation, including meteorological, groundwater, and surface water monitoring equipment.Manage data from the monitoring network, undertake QA/QC, and communicate data to relevant parties including consultants.Assist the operation to meet all OceanaGold standards and guidelines. Participate or lead audits on company standards (environmental and safety) as required.
