The Opportunity
This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership and strategic management, overseeing critical infrastructure and systems that support our packhouse and orchard operations.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Packhouse Manager to enhance operational efficiency and minimise downtime.
Lead and develop a skilled workshop team responsible for maintaining orchard and packhouse machinery, coolstores, infrastructure, and special projects.
Drive departmental culture and performance.
Drive cost optimisation initiatives across facility operations.
Manage and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programmes.
Ensure maintenance of orchard infrastructure, including wind machines and irrigation systems.
Oversee site security and fire monitoring systems.
Report directly to the Senior Executive.
Your Experience and Attributes
Technical qualification, preferably in Mechanical or Refrigeration Engineering.
An appetite to broaden your knowledge and expertise.
Proven leadership experience, preferably in food industries.
Competence in team and supplier relationships.
Entrepreneurial mindset with natural leadership capabilities.
Results-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on attitude combined with strategic thinking abilities.
