Overview
ASQ International is looking for a qualified Early Years Teacher to join a new crèche in early 2025 on a part-time basis. This role involves working 3 days a week, supporting children aged 2-5 to lead their own learning through observation, problem-solving, and exploration at their own pace.
The school
A crèche named for its location in the heart of Tahuna Glenorchy, which was once a thriving kowhai valley that connected the foothills of Ka Tiritiri-o-te-Moana the Southern Alps to the top of Whakatipu Waimaori Lake Wakatipu. A registered not for profit community crèche governed by a board of 6 experienced community members, parents and ECE professionals. The curriculum embraces learning opportunities that allow tamariki to explore, inquire and grow within the safety of their community and among its unique natural surroundings. This inquiry-based learning approach keeps tamariki at the centre of their own learning.
Like the vibrant kowhai flower, the centre creates a positive environment for learning and play, where tamariki are encouraged, stimulated and respected through the care and comfort offered by teaching staff.
