We are a family-owned and operated early learning centre, fondly referred to as the 'Pear Centre' by the children in our community. Our home-like environment is rich in open-ended resources and intentionally planned experiences that provide limitless possibilities for exploration to enhance children's sensory development and imagination.
Our centre philosophy is inspired by RIE Educare and Reggio Emilia approaches to teaching.
We are looking for an experienced infant teacher to start with us in December and can offer leadership opportunities for the right fit. We maintain a high ratio of 1:4 for quality educare and learning for our infants.
We understand the value of nutrition in a child's formative years and offer our infants a seasonal whole-foods menu, free from refined sugar and unnecessary additives.
The team thrives under the mentorship and guidance of our group curriculum leader , who constantly supports us with curriculum planning and professional development that aligns with the teachers' individual and collective interests.
We value consistency and have a pool of qualified and unqualified relievers who are very much part of our team. They know our values and routines which is beneficial for both the teaching team and our tamariki.
We are a full pay parity centre. The teaching team enjoys a paid day off on their birthday and discounted childcare fees. We have a wellness programme to ensure our team is taken care of.
