The work offers variety and includes general maintenance works, pipeline, and related repairs, the pump works, and minor construction projects for waterways, ponds and rivers, and general civil based activities.These positions will suit candidates who are self-motivated, proactive, energetic, enjoy working outside and who enjoy provided outstanding customer service.A bit about your role:Assisting with the response to an emergency investigation of drainage assets in both residential and road corridor areas.Investigating and unblocking faulty drainage infrastructure.Repairs to pipeline infrastructure and pre cast drainage assetsWork with Drainage foreman to deliver minor construction activitiesAssisting with emergency response to achieve emergency works KPI’sOn call provisions after hours response.Hazard assessment to ensure workplace safety.A bit about you:A full driver's licence and class 2 HT licence – Class 4 DesirableCivil construction experience, preferably involved in water, wastewater and stormwater would be an advantageA current Drain laying qualification and or certification will be highly regarded or Drainage experienceCurrent confined space entry trained would be an advantageStrong focus on Health and SafetyWhat we offer:A fantastic opportunity to gain training and career development, be a part of a great team, a collaborative working environment, and a competitive remuneration package, this becomes an opportunity not to be missed!This is a great time to join the Downer team and take the next step in your career with an organisation committed to the lifelong development of our people.
