Auckland Theatre Company (ATC) is Auckland's premier professional theatre company established in 1992. ATC presents an annual subscription season of plays as well as running a highly regarded creative learning and youth arts programme. In 2016 ATC took up residence at the ASB Waterfront Theatre in Wynyard Quarter, a five Green Star rated Custom Built theatre that not only cemented the Company's reputation as a producer of outstanding theatre but also established its place in Auckland's arts scene and events industry as a premier stage of national significance.
ATC is a charitable entity receiving funding from government and philanthropic sources and self-generated revenues from ticket sales and venue hire.
Reporting directly to the Artistic Director & CEO, the role is tasked with leading the finance and business function for the organisation with key responsibilities:
To deliver the financial management of the business providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
To maintain strong, transparent relationships with and confidence of the CEO, Chair of the Board Finance Committee and Chairs of the four ATC-related entities.
This is a key position within the leadership structure of the Auckland Theatre Company and the role will be responsible for all financial operations, cashflow management, IT analysis and advice to the CEO, and reporting to four charitable boards.
The ideal candidate will:
Be CA/CPA qualified.
Have proven experience providing financial analysis and advice to Executive and Leadership teams.
Have experience in leading high performing teams.
Have experience streamlining an organisation's financial systems.
Have experience working within an organisation committed to principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Have the ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks as directed as well as using own initiative.
