Remarks: The Director of Market Access Marketing will develop strategic and tactical plans for the payer and channel markets. This individual will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (i.e Brand Marketing, Strategic Pricing and Contracting, Account Directors, HEOR, Government Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Commercial Analytics, Medical Affairs, Field Sales Management, Sales Training etc…) to ensure development of optimal payer/channel marketing strategy and resources. This individual will also be expected to keep senior and corporate executives informed about changes and emerging issues in the broad, managed customer environments and the subsequent implications for Company.

Essential Functions:

- Work with cross-functional partners (Account Directors, Strategic Pricing and Contracting, Brand Marketing, Sales, HEOR, Medical, Legal, Commercial Analytics and other key internal stakeholders) to lead the development of a comprehensive payer strategy that is aligned to Company and brand marketing objectives.
- Lead development of a compelling value proposition that communicates clinical, economic and value-based attributes of select brands to key payer and systems of care customers.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships to develop promotional programs and tactics aligned with the business plan.
- Support long range planning through landscape analysis, understanding of access drivers and competitors, and evaluation of likely customer response.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the dynamics driving the various managed markets segments and channels including Commercial Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, Trade, Integrated Delivery Systems/Systems of Care, Accountable Care Organizations, Long Term Care and other Institutions.
- Work with internal and external segment and channel experts to identify leading trends, channel dynamics and translate to impactful access programs for our brands.
- Design and conduct research with key customer segments to aid in the development of sound managed markets business strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs and HEOR departments to ensure payer related endpoints are captured in pivotal trials/outcomes research for eventual use with decision-makers.
- Effectively manage budgets; as well as, project and launch timelines.
- Represent Company with key external stakeholders.

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

- A Bachelors degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with a minimum of 6 years within the Market Access. Must have experience in at least of two areas: Managed Care (Payer or Channel) Marketing (priority), Brand Marketing, Account Management, Pharmacy, Long Term Care or Integrated Delivery Systems/Systems of Care
- Strong leadership skills
- Capable of building and leading initiatives, teams, consensus from the ground up (priority)
- Experience with Urology and/or Women’s Health
- Comprehensive understanding of US healthcare system including providers, payers (public and private) and influencers
- Analytical skills including experience in conducting research, data mining, modeling and analysis
- An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify problems and barriers and quickly assimilate information to develop actionable and effective solutions
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a highly matrixed environment
- Results oriented with excellent analytic, collaboration, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with limited consultation from supervisor
- Ability to multi-task and achieve results within identified timelines
- A strong customer orientation and the ability to travel as the business demands
