You'll feel the difference the moment you walk through the door of any one of our communities. Director position details: Staff- Hire, train and supervise as needed to create a successful team. Oversee/conduct performance appraisals and maintain personnel files as required. Develop, lead, challenge and motivate through effective communication, ongoing training and other personal growth opportunities, and recognition programs. Manage payroll and benefit programs. Address problems and grievances; carry out disciplinary action and dismissals when necessary. Administrate departments to meet standards outlined in the Quality Assurance Program. Provide a safe, comfortable work environment, with adequate tools, supplies, etc.; respond appropriately to on-the-job incidents or injuries. Resident- Work with families, service providers and staff to meet resident needs by providing excellent, consistent and personalized services. Help residents to live safely and with dignity through supportive, security and privacy measures, as well as emergency response systems and protocol. Maintain documentation in compliance with all regulations. Counsel families and residents to make informed choices regarding health or service plan changes, problem resolution, risk management, and alternative placement or care when necessary. Assess satisfaction through regular surveys, one-on-one visits, and meetings with residents, families, and care providers. With approval of Supervisor, implement programs and changes to maximize resident satisfaction. Offer programs to engage mind, body and spirit, as outlined in Agemark's Lifecycles program manual. Marketing/Occupancy- Achieve and maintain 95%+ occupancy. Participate in all marketing, public relations, advertising and sales activities, in partnership with the Family Service Coordinator. Set quarterly and annual objectives to achieve personal and operational goals. Facilitate constant improvement and innovation. Fiscal and Operational Management- Prepare and operate within annual facility budget. Manage income: collect rent and service fees when due, keep accurate records, balance accounts, implement scheduled rate increases, etc. Manage expenses: control purchases and payroll; oversee accounting, obtain bids for building maintenance, make capital improvements with approval, etc. Maintain and upgrade knowledge and implementation of standards and requirements as specified by state and federal laws. Submit operational and other reports as required by the Company. Qualifications: Knowledge of the community and available networks. Proven track record of integrity. Excellent verbal/written communication and problem solving skills. Proficient computer skills with experience in social media networking. Must be detail oriented and accurate. Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, prospective residents, facility operations and personnel. Work scheduled hours based on personnel and community needs including possible weekends and evenings. Independently work and interact with team members at all levels and promote teamwork. Recognize improvement opportunities. Prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in a fast paced, service oriented, environment. Bachelor's Degree in relative field required. Previous experience in healthcare, marketing, programming, nursing or related field required. Experience in geriatrics, senior care or similar industry preferred. Minimum of 2 years managing staff and budget. Join the Family!
