About the role | Ko te mahi nei This newly created role will support our Digital project and programme implementation teams by assessing their learning needs and designing the delivery of learning activities and training programmes. In addition to this, you will also support the stakeholders and their adaptation to growing digital readiness, capability, and confidence.
Your days will be varied and will encompass working with project teams ensuring your work supports the delivery of benefits, outcomes, and supports people through change by applying quality learning and training delivery. You will be based within Civic Offices, with the ability to work flexibly and hybridly.
The exciting role will work with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation. It is fast-paced and requires attention to detail and relationship building. You will use a variety of tools to create learning content and deliver training, with Council looking to consolidate disparate tools to provide a consistent and quality learning experience.
Ideally, you will have a background in designing and creating quality learning content as well as the ability to assess learning needs and use that assessment to create learning and training content that helps people understand what they need to do or know once the change is implemented. Your ability to build relationships and relate to people across a multi-generational, culturally diverse workplace will allow you to develop and create this role.
You will introduce new techniques and approaches to Digital learning, including taking a blended approach where needed. A minimum of 7 years' experience in adult learning or instructional design within a complex organisation would be ideal as well as 5 years' experience in developing and delivering learning activities and training programmes.

Additional information: Hours of work- Fixed Term, 12 Months Location- This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch. Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $96,465 to $107,183 per annum. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
