The Role: They are now actively seeking a Senior Specialist with a focus on providing high-level solution architecture in software and applications aligned to MS Azure Cloud. Your experience and expertise will have you deeply involved in Digital / Software based transformations which will essentially include MS Azure based operations. You'll be responsible for creating the highest level of building and designing digital solutions along with functional design specifications through working closely with the design and development teams and ensuring a streamlined handover to the support teams. Your solid Software Application background will assist you in guiding team members to create and deliver the highest spec solutions. You'll work as part of an existing team of Architects, Applications Specialists and Cloud Data professionals to provide support to multiple external customers while reporting into the Head of Applications. Ultimately, external customers will view you as their 'Trusted Advisor' and specialist go-to person in the form of a Senior Solutions Architect (Enterprise level).
The essential skills and requirements for this role are:
Solutions Architecture (Software & Cloud) – at least 6 years formal and recent experience with a deep understanding of 'Reference Architecture' and its focus on integrations and structure of services and products. A deep understanding of SaaS is crucial.
Azure Web & Software Services – existing and strong experience of 5 years covering areas including Azure Web Applications, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and ideally Azure IoT.
Reference Architecture – providing and creating 'Reference Architecture' into multiple domains (example: Integration and Security).
Integration – well versed in the integration of software and systems into MS Azure Cloud.
Your Background – a career in software development and programming aligned to MS .Net / C# along with web capability.
Methodologies / Processes – Agile SCRUM along with SDLC and Software Methodologies such as SOA, Serverless Architecture, and Microservices.
NZ Working rights – NZ Residents, Citizens, and Open Work Visa holders (the latter must already be in NZ) - this is critical due to potential security checks. We will not be accepting applications outside of this criteria.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary circa $200,000 base
