We are looking for a reliable and experienced machinery operator to assist our small team to deliver on key projects we have during the 2024/2025 construction season.
The applicant must have many years of heavy machinery experience, be of sound character and take pride in their workmanship.
Having quarrying experience is not essential for this role however it would be of value and looked upon favourably.
This role offers a minimum of 50 + hours per week on a six month contract, operating an excavator and loader based in the South Taranaki region.
The role requires a diligent operator who plans ahead and can work efficiently to optimise plant and machinery.
Remuneration package is negotiable and formed around the applicant's attributes, skills and industry experience.
Key responsibilities include: Excavator and/or Loader operation as well other machinery and processing plant knowledgeBreaking out raw material, bulk earth moving, drainageComplete all necessary daily maintenance checksAssisting with basic maintenance and machinery careWork to Health & Safety Rules and Regulations within a quarry environmentOperate other machinery if required, loaders/crusher/scalping screens/dump truckPhysical work i.e. using a shovel to clear equipment and plant as required Essential for the role: Must have, Wheels, tracks and rollersDigger and loader experienceHave a committed attitudePrepared to get your hands dirtyHave a clean driver's license and a means of getting to and from the work siteMust live within the South Taranaki areaBe physically fit and able to pass a drug testMust work well with othersBe competent with numbers and have a health and safety focus Must be an excellent verbal and written communicatorBe able to multi taskIf this sounds like you please forward your CV today.
