Our WhyDatacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people's lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.About the Role (your why)The Developer Payments & Messaging role is responsible for analysing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying enhancements or new products used in the cloud. This role involves understanding the requirements for a feature or component of the application or platform and delivering the code to fulfil those requirements. The Developer - Payments & Messaging role is responsible for the core coded business logic for the developed application or platform, and they should be familiar with the languages and design patterns used in the application and strive to deliver code that is well structured and maintainable.Solutions maintained and delivered must be:24/7 high performing, fault tolerant, scalable server designsHighly usable and fast web front ends and APIsWorld class data and web securityWhat you'll doDesigning, coding, testing and installing applications programs, either in one major Program or a range of Programs across multiple platforms.Working with team members, stakeholders & users to evaluate application requirements.Ensuring that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieving necessary design and systems security standards.Completing documentation and procedures for development and maintenance.Monitoring the performance and availability of systems hardware and software.Using current programming languages and technologies to write code, complete programming, and perform or delegate testing and debugging of the application.Analysing and rectifying application problems.What you'll bring3+ years' related experience in a relevant technical field and in Programming and Applications Design.Well-developed skills in one or more of the major programming languages (either 'legacy' or 'hot') such as Reactjs, JavaScript, .Net, C#, PowerShell, and SQL development tools.Developed skills and knowledge of cloud computing services such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.Ability to understand the essential needs of Users and meet these in well-designed programs.Good skills in time and resource management. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.Consultative and planning skills.
