We are on a hunt for an experienced Design Engineer to work in a small team based in South Auckland.Your company:Our client is a market leader in the manufacturing space providing bespoke solutions to their global customers. Having their operations spread across New Zealand and Australia.Purpose of this Role:Reporting to the Operations Manager this role is a key link between Sales and Production which involves product design and technical support.The role will require excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, you will be required to work autonomously and collaboratively with the sales team, production team and providing solutions to customers.Note: You must be currently living in New Zealand with full working rights to be applicable for this role.Job responsibilities:Create engineering drawings and CAD modellingCreating design from concept to detailed specification and work instructionsProcess development and project managementTechnical support to the production teamMaintain a focus on continuous improvementWhat you need to be successful in this role:Knowledge and experience in CAD/ designExcellent communication skills both written and verbalHigh level of computer literacyPrevious experience in -NetSuite, SolidWorks, Style CAD, Wintech, Profiler, Epilog Job Manager and MS Office Suite would be an advantagePrevious experience of CNC machine operations would be an added advantageStrong relationship management skills and ability to work effectively across departments and/or business unitsBe able to maintain a high level of quality, Health and safety standards as per the company policyBe able to complete projects within time framesBe able to commit to work in a full-time capacityMust be a resident /citizen of New ZealandHave your own transportBe able to provide 2 professional referencesMust be able to pass a drug testNo previous or pending convictionsWhat you'll get in return:Full-time permanent job opportunityReporting directly to an experienced Operations managerWork in a positive and friendly multicultural environmentWork in a state of art facility and technologically well equippedInternal career growth and learning opportunitiesWork autonomously and not be micromanagedBe a part of a high performing and fun-loving teamWhat you need to do now:If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
