6MU + 1SMA Due to retirement, we have an exciting opportunity for a new Deputy Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team from the beginning of term 1, 2025.
The successful applicant will lead one of our four Houses and have an overall responsibility for one year level. We have 56 vertical year level Form classes; with 14 Form classes, 14 Form teachers, two House Deans and one House Deputy Principal in each House.
All short-listed candidates will be able to demonstrate:
A proven record of teaching excellence and a passion for teaching and learning. Strong relationship skills with teenagers and a genuine interest in their education and welfare. High expectations for raising student achievement. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Strategic leadership strengths in school-wide curriculum and pastoral leadership. The clear ability to mentor and grow staff professionally and personally. Fairly recent or current tertiary level educational leadership study and qualifications. Deputy Principal leadership portfolio responsibilities are assigned by the Principal and are negotiated and reviewed on an annual basis to enable the balancing of individual strengths and skills with ongoing professional growth.
All short-listed candidates must have Full New Zealand teacher registration and reside in New Zealand.
