The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level economic advice, ensuring the application of sound economic principles in decision-making, and leading the development of new research products. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Economist, and Principal Consultants to set strategic direction and support business planning. The Deputy Chief Economist will also be involved in public representation, including media interactions and conference presentations. Key functions include project leadership, client management, staff supervision, and staying abreast of market trends.The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in economics, at least 5 years of related experience, and a proven track record in economic and policy development. Applicants for the Deputy Chief Economist position should possess a graduate degree in economics, preferably at the postgraduate level, and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a related field, ideally within a consulting or advisory environment. The role requires the ability to lead and manage multiple projects, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong background in economic research and policy development.The Deputy Chief Economist will be expected to demonstrate technical expertise in various economic and business issues, as well as experience in management frameworks and financial analysis.
