The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to join our Canterbury Minor Construction team as the Department Manager. In this role, you will ultimately be responsible for effectively managing the safety, quality, efficiency and financial success of the minor construction department.

In addition to the above you will:

Oversee daily operational activities.

Manage financial performance and reporting.

Be responsible for training and staff development.

Ensure business objectives are met for growth and performance.

Manage client relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience managing business units.

Extensive knowledge of infrastructure, construction, and civil engineering industries.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and procedures.

The ability to develop positive relationships with clients and internal/external teams

The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work.

Demonstrated leadership capability with a strong focus on people, safety and quality

The ability to engage with staff and maintain a positive workplace culture.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Problem solving abilities.

You will be a supportive and collaborative leader with a passion for developing and growing talent. You will have strong financial and business acumen.
