These roles will form part of the leadership team within the EPMO and you'll get the opportunity to shape key elements on how work will be delivered as well as providing input to the EPMO long term strategy.The Projects Delivery Practice Manager, will head up a team of project management specialists, providing hands-on and high-level project management delivery leadership and assurance for the delivery of enterprise-wide projects. This role will be integral in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and efficiently to the business.The Programmes Delivery Practice Manager, head up a team of programme management specialists, providing support, leadership and development of a high performing, delivery focussed team.The position(s) will be focussed on:managing a team of project/ programme management professionals delivering a variety of complex and significant change programmesstewardship of the DOC Project/ Programme Management Framework (PMF/ PgMF) ensuring it is fit for purpose and updated to reflect best practice project/programme delivery and aligned to departmental goalsdriving project/ programme management excellence and ensuring the standardisation and implementation of delivery practices, processes, as well as applying industry standard methodologiesworking with other Practice Leads to establish a Communities of Practicebuilding capability, methods, tools and techniques that enhance deliveryfostering a supportive and inclusive team environment, a culture of continuous improvement and encourage diversity of thoughtproviding support to project/ programme managers to effectively gather key information and ensure projects are resourced correctly to ensure successful outcomes and deliveryreviewing performance of projects delivered to identify areas of improvement and opportunities to increase delivery confidenceensuring DOC operates as an honourable treaty partner.If you have some of the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you:Solid experience in delivering a variety of projects and programmes within complex environments, ideally across business transformation, digital transformation, and construction infrastructure programmes.Technically qualified in Portfolio, Programme and/or Project Management. PMP/ PMI or similar certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of Agile and/or waterfall project management methodologies is required.A passionate leader and mentor, you have had experience managing a team through significant change, ideally located across multiple locations. You lead by example and empower your team to achieve a common goal.A strong collaborator, you're able to build trust and influence stakeholders, taking on other opinions whilst remaining on track.Strong financial and commercial acumen - you are pragmatic in your decisions and don't shy away from complex programmes of work.Understands the impact DOC and the wider public sector/government has on the Maori-Crown relationship.The Department of Conservation /Te Papa Atawhai places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
