Deck Hand – Havelock Mussel Farming

An opportunity for a Deck Hand / Vessel Crew Member has become available at our Mussel Farming operations in Havelock. This position involves working on our harvesting/seeding/floating vessels and all aspects of deck work, aquafarm maintenance and harvesting mussels for processing at our Havelock Factory.

This is a full-time permanent position, starting in the yard from Monday to Friday to get familiar with our operation and processes and completing a full safety induction. Then you will move to 4 on 4 off shifts, remaining on the vessel for the full shift.

We have great people working with us, and we are looking for someone who can fit in seamlessly with our team of hard workers who get on well with each other and can have a good laugh. We work outside in all weather conditions, so you need to be comfortable doing that and at ease on the water. If you have aquaculture experience or an interest in this field that will always be an advantage. However most of our team have a love of nature and the ocean which draws them to these roles.
