We're looking for a Data Operations Manager to lead our team in ensuring the efficiency, optimization, and reliability of our Enterprise Data Warehouse, Operational Data Lake, and associated data platforms within Group Data.In this role, you'll manage a talented team that provides operational support for key data assets (EDW, Data Lake, Connect DW, and Azure Infrastructure). Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining seamless ETL processes, enhancing ETL designs, ensuring system availability and uptime, and supporting our technical architecture and reporting needs. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies, collaborate across departments, and make a meaningful impact on how data supports business decisions.What you'll bring Technical Skills: Change control, SQL, Change Processes, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Data Warehouse experience, Dimensional Modelling experience Deep and broad knowledge of the complexities of a busy data management platform in an enterprise BAU environment Demonstrated experience in managing people and teams in a data BAU environment Working domain knowledge of business processes including Finance and Resource Management and related Data Modelling skills. Strong software engineering and coding skills, ideally in a data intensive management environment. Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner Responsibilities Implementing and supporting data management policy and standards for data usage, movement, collection, consolidation, interpretation and security specifically relating to ETL/DW and the Data Lake Managing and coordinating change into production systems. Develop new and improve existing data processes and models for the various domains curated in the EDW, including but not limited to Finance, Sales and Business Operations Support. Managing the supply of data contracts and policies for the secure and reliable movement of data between internal and external applications Maintaining and supporting the enterprise data warehouse so that it provides a single source of truth, data structures appropriate to support flexible BI and analytics, cost effective data preservation and summarised data to other systems as required Enhancing and developing existing data policies and working with the broader team to cleanse and govern data where practical and possible Managing the centralised reference data management service for managing customer, product and service records for Datacom. Enhancing the existing repository of data sets, data flows, data definitions and data taxonomy reflecting enterprise data model for the purpose of classification and knowledge management Culture and BenefitsDatacom is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
