About the role:
We are looking for a skilled Data Interpretation Technician to join our Operational Delivery team based at our Dunedin office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Data Interpretation Team in analysing and interpreting data from various samples.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for the statistical investigations of chemical data for Oritain's clients.
Analyse and interpret data collected from various samples.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in data interpretation.
Produce detailed reports summarising the findings from data analyses.
Assist in maintaining and improving data analysis processes and systems through Lean.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine data interpretation approaches and techniques.
Minimum Requirements:
Professionally qualified with a BSc, MSc or equivalent in a science-related field (such as Chemistry, Food Science, Materials Science).
A good understanding of statistical modelling and data interpretation.
Familiarity with R statistical programming is an advantage.
Ability to apply scientific concepts in a commercial setting.
Knowledge of Lean management systems.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in relevant data analysis tools and techniques.
Proactive problem-solving skills and prevention skill set.
Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
Naturally resilient and comfortable managing competing priorities.
