Te Wero – The Challenge
As a Customer Service Officer – Multiskilled you'll:
Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver an outstanding customer service experience to all our customers, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency and care.
Be the First Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact in our contact centre and at the counter, providing a seamless and welcoming interaction for all inquiries.
Provide Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties related to the Customer Services Department and the Community & Engagement Group, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.
Be involved in Community Engagement: Assist in various community engagement activities, fostering strong relationships and promoting council initiatives.
We're looking for someone with:
Customer service experience and/or qualifications.
Experience in providing varied services from a local authority perspective.
Contact center and customer service background.
High computer literacy.
Administrative skills and experience.
Knowledge of the local area.
Ability to connect with diverse communities.
Proven cash handling experience.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Enthusiasm and commitment to excellent customer service.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to relate to a wide range of people.
Advanced documentation, report, and workflow writing skills.
High-level relationship management and customer facilitation skills.
A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for the community.

The salary for this position is Grade 10 within Council's salary structure (Band: $50,546 to $59,466 pro rata per annum) dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
