About the role: Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Customer Service Officer is responsible for direct customer service and delivery for the equipment hire business, managing customers' requests, queries, and orders. Day to day, the Customer Service Officer will be the first point of contact with customers, managing inbound and outbound calls providing timely advice and solutions to meet their hire equipment needs. The Customer Service Officer will identify opportunities to upsell/cross-sell products to enhance our customer experience. As part of this role, the CSO will work closely with the transport and workshop teams to coordinate delivery schedules to ensure the maximization of our client's delivery trucks capacity and meet customer expectations.

Day to day you will:
Provide proactive customer service and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ensure the transport team operates efficiently and safely while managing the freight of tools to maximize profitability
Submit accurate paperwork and correspondence promptly and follow up on inquiries in a friendly manner
Promote a safe and productive work culture, adhering to health and safety practices
Complete all tasks to a high standard in line with company values and procedures
Assist with general hire and sales duties, as well as yard tasks as needed
Provide technical solutions and recommend the best products and services for customer inquiries
Contribute positively to the team environment
To be successful in this role you will need:
Come from an engineering, mechanical, excavator or hydraulic background
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well-spoken with excellent active listening skills
Motivated, outgoing and compassionate personality
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external customers
Must have a full driver's license
Class 2/4 license, gantry crane ticket, and forklift license advantageous
