Opportunities are now available within Northland. Our Whangarei Court Custody Team are seeking a motivated individual to work within our dedicated staff as a Court Custody Authorised Officer.

The role of a Custody Officer within NZ Police is pivotal, and Custody Officers are responsible for providing appropriate standard of care for detainees whilst they are in our custody. This casual role is on call and your main purpose will be to assist with prisoner Management within the Police Station or at the Whangarei District Court as required.
Applying the principles of manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and aroha youwillbe responsible for ensuring the health and safety of detainees, monitoring their behaviour, providing proper care and ensuring professional standards whilst they are in our care are continuously met.
This role is not for the faint hearted and will require someone who is confident, open-minded with attention to detail and willing to follow stringent safety procedures.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $74,748 and $78,129 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
