Counsellor, Support, and Ministry Positions for a CoupleFull time10 days ago, from Dapaanz Addiction Practitioners' Association Aotearoa New ZealandCross Roads Christian Community Trust has been working with people in need since 1993, and has operated a residential programme for those with life-controlling problems (FreedomLife Te Nikau) and a counselling centre since 1999 in Paraparaumu, on the Kapiti Coast.We are looking for a couple, at least one of whom will have general counselling or addiction counselling qualifications and experience.The Counsellor(s) will be able to competently counsel and facilitate small groups based on video/workbook discussion. Experience in addiction and compulsive behaviour work would be helpful, but not essential, as we take a whole of life approach to recovery, dealing with many background issues (including relationships, grief, abuse, rejection, depression, etc.) and addiction specific skills can be learnt.The other person, depending on skills and time available, could be involved in a variety of caring, ministry, administration, small group, or support roles. As this programme is Christian faith-based, applicants will be competent and comfortable in working from this perspective as appropriate.There are a variety of factors contributing to remuneration, so please make contact to check details.
