About the job Do you have a passion for property? The purpose of TPG's Corporate Counsel is to provide legal advice to our property teams, to enable the success of our clients' property projects. The Corporate Counsel will report to the Team Leader Corporate Counsel, and is responsible for:
Advising on property, conveyancing and other issues and in particular issues related to land compensation entitlements and disposal of land under the Public Works Act 1981Drafting property agreements, easement documentation and reportsAdvising on the compulsory acquisition process under the Public Works Act 1981Property due diligence adviceCollaborating with colleagues to achieve client service objectivesCore legal representation on specific projects.About you We are interested in hearing from people from diverse backgrounds, who are excited about moving into a position in a property consultancy. If you have the skills and experience below, or the potential to develop these, we would love to hear from you.
4-5 years PQEA good grounding in property lawExperience with Public Works Act 1981 or Maori land law is a bonus but not essentialAbility to establish relationships with internal employees and a diverse range of external clientsAn inquisitive nature, you are solutions focused, collaborative and enthusiasticWith a variety of projects constantly on the go, you'll be a team player who is happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You recognise, understand and appreciate the importance of accountability and responsibility for your role and contribution to a project delivered by multiple team members and to deliver within budget, in a timely manner and to the highest quality levels.
