Make a difference as a Corporate AccountantJoin the largest general insurance group in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.As a corporate accountant, you'll support the Corporate Reporting Team by producing quality financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Your responsibilities include preparing statutory financial statements, enhancing financial reporting processes, and managing risk under the Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act. You'll also handle monthly investment reconciliations, assist with audits, budgets, forecasts, and board reports. Additionally, you'll provide technical accounting advice, influence decision-making, and ensure strong financial control practices.This is a permanent, full-time hybrid role based in Auckland.To be successful in the role, you'll ideally have the following:Demonstrated experience preferably in a big 4 firm or the Insurance/ Financial Services Industry, with knowledge of New Zealand regulatory frameworks.High level of technical and professional skill in financial accounting, with extensive experience in International Accounting Standards.Strong financial and management reporting, analytical, and interpretation skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence.Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or a related degree, along with a professional accounting qualification (ACA, CA, or CPA).Results-oriented, strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, and an excellent communicator who can translate business objectives into workable solutions.Applications close Wednesday, 30 October 2024, at 11:59 pm.IAG is the largest general insurance group in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
