Construction Foreman About the role This is a permanent position for a motivated, driven and experienced Construction Foreman to lead small teams, reporting to Project Manager
This role calls for you to lead from the front and drive results – mostly with a small team of up to 5 staff per project to supervisor across multiple sites
This is a huge opportunity to get on board with ongoing projects to keep you interested, with various locations across New Zealand and Australia.
This job calls for being away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time

Key Responsibilities
• Planning programmes of work
• All Health and Safety documentation and site auditing
• Quality documentation collation and completion
• Managing financials for the projects and maintaining budgets
• Monthly Forecasting
• Identification, collation and submission of variations
• Effective management and resourcing of projects delivered on time and budget.
• Maximising profitability and delivering customer satisfaction.
• Proven skills and experience to be successful in this career defining role, you will need be an experienced Project Manager who is after a new challenge.
• As one of the successful candidates, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years' experience managing multiple projects with proven track record
• Experience managing project financials that range in size and value.
Ability to manage subcontractors and the team
• Engineering Trade background essential
• Excellent organisational skills and. loads of management experience
• Assign tasks appropriate to team members capability and role
About You
You will also need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills as these roles are client facing , particularly on longer term projects.

Tenacious, ambitious, a problem solver with ability to foresee and therefore resolve issues and an analytical thinker as well as being able to think outside the box
Be prepared to embrace new ideas , but not trying to reinvent the wheel
Natural leadership skills
Experience in preparing Client and Management reports.
Have strong understanding of NZ Contract Law with experience managing contracts including progress claims, extensions, variations and contract negotiations
Possess strong commercial acumen with experience in financial and project management software
Proficient using Word, Excel, Advanced level with Microsoft Project and the understanding of links between the contract and programme
Be able to manage multiple civil projects at any given time across multiple disciplines
Have experience across civils, commercial site works, pipework and structures
Be a strong communicator and be able to manage a team including administrative staff, engineers, supervisors and foremen our senior estimator
Be driven to deliver projects on time and within budget
