Power Generation & Distribution (Mining, Resources & Energy) We're seeking a highly skilled Network Controller to ensure the reliability and safety of our network assets on a 24/7 basis. This role is critical to meeting the needs of our business, customers, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe environment for the public, staff, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and manage real-time asset performance and availability, ensuring compliance with electrical safety practices and management procedures. Coordinate with authorized field service contractors for asset access and return processes, both planned and unplanned. Minimize supply disruptions and ensure a safe network environment for contractors, staff, and the public. Maintain an up-to-date representation of the network's connectedness and service map. Demonstrate expertise in SCADA, Load Management, and TCS, and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders. Qualifications and Skills: Electrical trade or technical background. Preferred: Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (Electrical), or equivalent tertiary qualification. Serious SCADA knowledge. Training in operational systems, procedures, and standards. General PC skills and strong customer service skills to manage relationships under pressure. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working on HV electrical networks in a technical role. Previous experience with electrical sub-transmission and distribution networks and familiarity with SCADA and Outage Management Systems. Proven ability to manage unplanned outages and restore network supply. Ability to analyse network data to develop and write process improvements and reports. This role does have a roster based focus, so you'll need to be available on a 24/7 basis, including day and night shifts.
