Mo te turanga About the role Our Radiology Service provides care to a population of approximately 310,000 people over the lower South Island, with a focus on emergency and inpatient cases.
We offer a full range of imaging modalities based on a digital RIS / PACS system, including MRI, Interventional, CT, and ultrasound; however, we do not offer mammography services.
Our vacancy requires a Radiologist with a general scope of skills, including MRI and CT guided procedures; ultrasound experience is advantageous but not an absolute necessity for success in this role.

You will participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster shared equally among your Radiologist colleagues.

Southern DHB is affiliated with the University of Otago Medical School, and Southland Hospital provides training to Registrars from the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists, so you'll need to be enthusiastic about teaching and passing on your knowledge to junior staff members.
You must be FRANZCR qualified (or equivalent) and hold, or be eligible for, vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ.
If you are an international candidate, you can be considered for this role under the condition that you are eligible for vocational registration with the MCNZ.
