Consultant General Medical Physician (6-12 months)LocationDescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic General Medicine Physician (or Fellow), or a General Medicine Physician with a sub-specialty focus in areas like Endocrine, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Respiratory, or any other subspecialty.You'll have a strong commitment to comprehensive care encompassed within General Medicine including ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and acute call.We have a team of physicians and sub-specialty opportunities to suit most people. You'll gain broad experience with different types of patients since all medical cases (except cardiology) are admitted under the general medical team.Hutt Valley prides itself as being one of the top training centres for general medicine in New Zealand.Minimum RequirementsVocationally registered in internal medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register with the MCNZ.Open to advanced trainees who are eligible for a fellowship position.Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care.
