Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist | Palmerston North | New Zealand Odyssey Recruitment Global Medical Recruitment – Palmerston North, North Island $200,000 - $200,000 a year Full time, Permanent Seeking a consultant diagnostic radiology for a full time post in a general hospital providing secondary medical and surgical services to the southern region of the North Island of New Zealand. Position Highlights Full time, permanent role in public sector secondary care hospital providing some tertiary services Teaching Hospital affiliated with 2 medical schools Full support from junior medical staff Clinical and educational duties Radiology department carrying out 96,000 radiological examinations per year with an interesting and varied workload Up to date equipment including CT, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, DSA, and seven general digital radiography rooms and Nuclear Medicine with two gamma cameras The opportunity to work in Breast Screening Professional Requirements FRANZCR or equivalent specialist qualification in diagnostic radiology Eligible for vocational registration in Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand Remuneration Competitive remuneration package based upon level of experience and qualifications comprising basic salary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 350,000 PA Refund of medical practice expenses Superannuation 6% 6 weeks annual leave Access to a thorough continuing medical education programme Opportunities to participate in research projects, pursue subspecialist fields of interest and become involved with medical student and junior medical officer postgraduate education Relocation costs for international physicians Palmerston North An university city in the North Island, Palmerston North offers a relaxed pace of life in a small city with close access to Wellington, short commutes, affordable housing and plenty of good schools.
