Penny Homes is a long-established successful residential & commercial developer and is a household name in Taupo and surrounding regions.
We now require an experienced Construction Manager with strong leadership capabilities and an excellent understanding of the building industry with qualifications to back it up.
You will be responsible for managing the Project Management team including PM's, SM's & Project Support and building processes to ensure constant performance improvement in the operational segment of this well-established and nationally recognised building firm. This includes program management, subcontractor management, financial and stakeholder management.
We want to hear from current Construction Managers or experienced Project Managers with outstanding communication and strong leadership qualities who feel it is time to transition into this broader management role.
The role of Construction Manager is key for communications between key stakeholders, Project & Site Managers, and Quantity Surveyors for the Senior Management including the Managing Directors. You will be involved in building and maintaining essential relationships and developing and garnering future business. You will lead and develop a team of project managers providing mentoring where needed.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Have demonstrated experience in Construction Management and Project Management
Extensive knowledge of building methods and materials and an understanding of quality control systems
Be an effective communicator
Have proven leadership and people management skills
Be highly analytical with the ability to solve problems and deal with issues in a composed fashion
Be able to prioritise and manage multiple projects
